What We Do

Hyde Park Center has four main areas of service:

• Social Work: home visits by licensed counselor
• Transportation: door-to-door, with assistance in boarding
• Meals: prepared on-site and served to tables of four
• Wellness Activities: variety of programs focused on body, mind and spirit

Hyde Park Center is one of the few centers in the city to offer social work and transportation in addition to meals and wellness activities. We pride ourselves on being friendly, supportive and attentive to individual needs. Many people call the Center their second home or family. The Center is cozy rather than institutional. Seven of the Center’s 11 staff members have worked here for over ten years. We know people by name and check on them when they don’t follow their pattern of attendance.
